IAA, September September 2021, München, Door2Door Industry Dinner

🚌👩‍💼👩🏾‍⚕️🙋🏽🙋🏼‍♀️📲🤳🚌How will we succeed in scaling autonomous on demand shuttle business? What are further use cases? What kind of technology shifts could help to accelerate the implemention? Thank you to Tom Kirschbaum and Maxim Naroudi (both Door2Door) who invited us to discuss these and other questions more in their industry dinner along the IAA.

My personal outcome: We need a clear and strong political will to drive this technology ahead 💪🔜🔝. And a close collaboration between car manufacturers, passenger transport organisations and software-as-a-service companies👍🏽🤝. Instead of hundreds of small pilot projects we should – finally – decide to start huge, long-time projects: How many on-demand-shuttles do we need (in a certain area) to make it possible that people can come around without a personally possessed car? Furthermore in my oppinion we urgently need several real labs where we shape future mobility 🚌🚲🚗🛴🚖🛵🚉📲.

And … of course my hashtag #mobilitätsbudget may never miss 😉 … These new services will become part of #maas products like a mobilitybudget and thus significantly contribute to #Verkehrswende!

It was great to talk to you Matthias Breidenbach (MHP), Joachim Bühler (TÜV Verband), Kyle Hawke (Local Motors) Carlo Iacovini (Local Motors), Jürgen Reers (Accenture), Sophia Gross-Fengels (MHP), Markus Welz (Hyundai) and all the others.
